Purpose:

The purpose of Grand View Christian Academy is to train students in the knowledge of God and the Christian way of life while giving them a quality education in traditional subject matter. GVCA believes that students need to be taught the accumulated wisdom of the past from a biblical worldview and trained in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6) so they will have a firm foundation from which to evaluate the present and make proper decisions for the future.

School Goals

The school-wide student learner outcomes is the main focus of Grand View Christian Academy. The goal includes three critical areas: Spiritual Outcomes, Academic Outcomes, and Physical/Moral Outcomes.

Spiritual Outcomes

It is the goal, expectation, and purpose that every student will develop a spiritual awareness that will lead to the acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Savior and cultivate a personal relationship with Him, ultimately becoming productive members and leaders in their local church and community.

It is the goal, expectation, and purpose that every student will develop a Christian worldview and proper stewardship and talent of resources.

It is the goal, expectation, and purpose that every student will develop a practical knowledge of God’s Word and that GVCA will impart an understanding of each Christian’s place in the church and the world-wide task of witnessing and evangelism.

Academic Outcomes

It is the goal, expectation, and purpose that every student will be prepared for post-secondary education including secular and Christian colleges, 4 year universities and trade schools.

It is the goal, expectation, and purpose that GVCA students will grow in the academic disciplines of Language Arts which include reading, writing, speaking, listening, and thinking; Mathematics, Sciences, Technology, and Fine Arts.

Physical/Moral Outcomes

It is the goal, expectation, and purpose that GVCA students will learn value and participate in a lifestyle of physical fitness, regular exercise, a healthy diet, and nutritional eating habits and personal hygiene and cleanliness.

It is the goal, expectation, and purpose that GVCA students will develop character attributes which will enable them to demonstrate integrity, respectful behavior, self-motivation, and self-discipline.

Accreditation

Grand View Christian Academy is fully accredited with the Accrediting Commission for Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges which is a world renowned accrediting association. This accreditation assures a school community that the school’s purposes are appropriate and being accomplished through a viable educational program and that it is a trustworthy institution for student learning. This validates the integrity of the school’s program and transcripts and facilitates graduates of GVCA the transfer of credits to the college, university, trade school, military, etc. of their choice.
